A Stargate is a device which is used to travel through a wormhole. In synchromysticism, Stargates often symbolize the ascending consciousness of humankind. It also represents the Sun's alignment with Galactic Center at the end of the Mayan Calendar (December 21 2012, 11:11am UT).
